Dr R. Kannan, Chairman who is a leading surgical gastroenterologist. He is a specialist surgeon for surgical diseases of oesophagus (food pipe), stomach, liver, pancreas, gall bladder, colon and rectum. He is also specialized in laparoscopic surgery for hernia (incisional hernia, inguinal, umbilical and femoral hernia).

He is a pioneer in performing laser haemorrhoidectomy for piles (more than 6000 surgeries done till date). He is the number one surgeon and pioneer in stapler procedure for piles. (More than 400 surgeries till date). Dr R. Kothandaraman our Managing Director is a Diabetologist, general physician, hospitalist, administrator and philanthropist. Dr. Kothandaraman played a key role in his capacity of a Director with his administrative skills in starting up New Hope group of hospitals, the first one being the 60 bedded NEW HOPE MEDICAL CENTRE Kilpauk, Chennai, where he had played a key role in transforming a 30 years old hospital into a true multispecialty hospital and achieving break-even in the first year itself.
